A deck is only as good as the frame under it. The visible boards get the attention, but the posts, footings and joist spacing decide whether it still feels solid in ten years.
This build used composite decking over a properly set frame, with railings and stairs finished to match. Composite costs more up front than pressure-treated timber but does not need sanding and sealing every couple of seasons, which most homeowners find worth it.
